I donated but didn't receive donor status, what gives?
To prevent fraud and abuse of PayPal's recoupment policy, we manually change accounts once payment has been approved. You should be sure to email your username to us as soon as you donate so that we can change the account as soon as possible. If your PayPal email is different than the email used to register on WoW-V, you must email us your account name since we will have no way to find your account otherwise.
Account upgrades occur at least once every 24 hours, so if you have not received your donator status and it has been more than a day, please email us asap to ensure your donation and account name were received.
How much do I have to donate to get donor status?
$5 USD. More is always appreciated, but $5 is the minimum for donor status. We currently do not implement a tracking system that sums up all donations by a particular member, so if you donate a total of $5 over X amount of days, there is no guarantee your donator status will be implemented. To ensure the status upgrade, donate the minimum amount required in ONE donation. If you have to do it in multiple transactions, be sure to include the PayPal transaction IDs in the email.
Where do donations to WoW-V go?
They go into an account used to pay for WoW-V's server and domain bills, and possibly for WoW-V contest prizes (should such contests occur).
A recent addition to the site shows exactly how much we have remaining on our monthly bill (on the upper left hand side of the site), and is updated in realtime with the PayPal API.
