I'd like to become a sponsor, how much do I have to donate?
Currently the minimum required is $15 USD.
How does the "minimum payment is $15" work?
The minimum payment for advertising on WoW-V (and, in turn, Sponsor staus) is $15, which gives 30 days of ad runtime. This can be extended, but each new advertising period still has a minimum of $15.
To put this in perspective, say a site donated $15. Once their 30 days are up, they decide they'd like to extend the ads again. The minimum payment would still be $15.
However, say they knew up front they wanted 40 days of ads. In this case, they could pay $20 ($15 + $5... $0.5 per day for 10 days) instead of waiting for the 30 days to expire and renewing with another $15.
The simplest way to state this: For each *individual* payment, a minimum of $15 is required.
How long will my ad run for?
$15 = 30 days. Per diem rate is $0.5 per day. A minimum of $15 is required for each new advertising period. Long term ad runtimes can be given a discount, but this is done on a case by case basis. Contact us at [email protected] if you'd like more information or a quoted cost for a specific amount of ad time.
Will my ad be shown exclusively if I become a sponsor?
Currently no, which is why our ad price is so low. All sponsors share the banner rotation with an equal chance that their ad will be shown with each page view and ad banner instance.
No. The adsense ads and the sponsor ads are in completely different banner positions and are not combined.
Will my sponsor status go away when the ad does?
No. The status (and all benefits for it) are permanent, only the ad runtime expires.
Do I have to pay for each banner position on the site?
No. The advertising rate gives full exposure to all applicable banner positions, without an increased cost.
Can I become a sponsor but delay my ad runtime?
Absolutely! Just mention that in the email sent to [email protected]
What kind of ads do you allow?
Content-wise anything is permitted, so long as it is legal in the USA. File type-wise we allow PNG, JPG, and GIF. Size requirements are: 544w x 76h, with a max of 150kb. Animation IS permitted, although we reserve the right to refuse any ad, primarily those that are overtly annoying (e.g.: flashing non-stop) or ones that try to "trick" users into clicking.
We currently do not support Flash ads, as there were causing browser crashes on certain browsers.
I donated, how do I get my banner added?
Contact [email protected] and supply your banner and the link to your site (as well as the WoW-V account name that needs to be given Sponsor status).
Is my banner hosted on WoW-V or on my site?
WoW-V hosts all the banners to retain control over content.
Can I change my banner/site link?
Absolutely (and without an added cost)! Just email the new one to [email protected]
I'd like to cancel my ad that I have currently running, can I get a refund?
We can pull the ad if desired, but sorry, no refunds. Too many people have scammed us in the past to permit it.
Can I get statistics on click amounts, impressions, etc?
This is currently not available, but we are working on setting up a system for it. The best way currently will be to check your own site's statistics for how many referrals are coming from WoW-V.com.
My ad isn't being shown as often as I'd like!
We're sorry if you feel that way, however, the script does not give preference to any ads and simply pulls which one to show via random queries.
What kind of discounts for bulk time ordering do you offer?
The current standardized discount rate is $0.5 per day, with discounts applied at:

Note that discounts are only applied when the time is purchased in a single payment. Paying $15, then $15 again when the ad is about to expire will not yield a discount. However, paying $15, then extending the timeframe for 3/6/9/12 months once the current ad runtime expires would.
